Medication-assisted treatment is the most effective way to help you end opioid dependence and stay opioid-free.
How It Works
When you join our Medications for Substance Use Disorder (MSUD) program, you get more than medications. We provide:
- One-on-one counseling designed for your specific situation
- Peer support to help you control your opioid use and triggers
- Medical supervision to keep you on track and optimize your treatment
This is an evidence-based treatment that's providing results in other states, and is now available for Mississippians through our county health departments.

Who Can Get Treatment
Anyone aged 15 or older is eligible for this treatment for opioid use disorder on referral from a healthcare provider or residential treatment facility.
No-Cost Treatment
If you qualify for our medication-assisted treatment program, you receive our services at no out-of-pocket cost to you regardless of insurance status.
Referrals: Currently we are limited to accepting new referrals from residential treatment facilities and healthcare providers.
