Alisa Habeeb Williams was named Director of EMS in February of 2007. Williams received her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Mississippi in Journalism and Advertising. She later graduated from the School of Health Related Professions' Paramedic Program at the University of Mississippi Medical Center. She has over twenty years' experience with Emergency Medical Services as both a nationally registered paramedic and EMS educator. Additionally, she has served in the public health administration arena for more than ten years. A strong advocate for emergency medical services, she sits as Chair for the National Association of EMS Officials - South Central Region. Williams also hold positions on other committees such as the Mississippians for EMS Board and NASEMSO Pediatric Education Committee.
