Trauma Services Summary
BMH-GT is a state designated Level II Trauma Center serving east-central Mississippi and portions of west Alabama. Trauma services provided include, but are not limited to:
- General thoracic and abdominal surgery
- Neurosurgery
- Orthopedic surgery
- Maxillofacial surgery
The Emergency Department is staffed and available 24 hours/day. EMS service is provided by BMH-GT, 24 hours/day, with ambulance dispatch locations in 5 stations throughout Lowndes County to ensure prompt and skilled response to emergent situations.
