Greater Fairview Members Weigh in for National Minority Health Month Challenge
Greater Fairview M.B. Church has gone on a diet. Over 200 members are participating in a weight challenge to celebrate National Minority Health Month in April. Pledging to lose at least 500 pounds, members have been weighing in since March 26 and are promising to eat healthier, exercise more and lose weight. The project is particularly targeting those with BMIs (body mass indexes) above 26 (you can find your BMI with our BMI Chart if you know your height and weight).
Healthy tips and recipes are placed in the church bulletin each week to help participants reach their goals. Members will be weighed again at the end of the month. The biggest loser will be given a prize — but everyone who makes steps to better health is a winner!
