The Mississippi Department of Health has released the DO NOT DRINK ORDER for customers who receive their drinking water from the City of Sardis water system in Panola County.

Tests performed by an independent laboratory did not indicate the presence of ethylene glycol in the water system.

Each customer should flush out all water lines including hot water lines, until entire house plumbing system has been purged with water from the main water system distribution line (minimum 10 minutes).

Any ice must be discarded. The ice machine should be cleaned and a run of ice produced and discarded prior to re-use of the machine. Any beverages prepared from water prior to this notice should be discarded.
