Background
Tim Darnell has served for over 12 years with MDH. Prior to becoming the Director of Environmental Health,
he held positions at MDH as the Deputy Environmental Health Director, Director of the Bureau of General Environmental Services,
and Environmental Health Consultant in the Bureau of Field Services. Before joining the Department of Health,
he was a laboratory manager and environmental consultant for eight years. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Microbiology
and his Master of Science in Applied/Environmental Microbiology from Mississippi State University.
