Background
Daniel R. Bender began his public health career as the first registered emergency medical technician for Jackson.
He has served as the Director of the Bureau of Child Health and the Division Director of Genetic Services for the Mississippi Department of Health.
Bender received his Bachelor of Science degree in Special Education from the Jackson State University
and his Master of Science in Health Science from Mississippi College.
